Tennessee Campaign Finance Limit Changes for 2021 & 2022

The Tennessee Registry of Election Finance has announced that contribution limits have been updated for 2021 and 2022 based on Pubic Chapter No. 487. The new limits are effective for any election held in 2021 and 2022.


Individual Limits (per election cycle)

Local, Legislative, Criminal Court Judges, Circuit Court Judges, Chancellors, Probate Court Judges, District Attorney Generals and Public Defenders: $1,600


Statewide: $4,300


PAC Limits (per election cycle)

House: $12,700


Senate: $25,400


Local, Legislative, Criminal Court Judges, Circuit Court Judges, Chancellors, Probate Court Judges, District Attorney Generals and Public Defenders: $8,300


Statewide: $12,700


Aggregate PAC Limits (per election cycle)

House: $126,600


Senate: $253,200


Statewide: 50% of total contributions


Aggregate Party/Caucus (per election cycle)

Local/House: $33,900


Senate: $67,500


Statewide: $422,100
